Label and Milestone Check

Overview

We need to perform a weekly check on issues to make sure they all conform to our label and milestone schema and see if we are making progess.

Action Items

First we do a quick cleanup to make sure issues are on the project board and have a missing label if they need one and that our label check links are up to date.

• Check the following to make sure that they are all 0/0 (Links for checking to make sure that all issues either have a ___ or a ____ missing label)
  • role
  • size
  • feature
  • stakeholder
  • complexity
    • Add any label missing (e.g., a new feature label got added to the project, but didn't yet get added here) and update link
  • issues that have not yet been added to project board
    • add to project board
• if changes were made, recheck to make sure all links ended up 0/0

Audit for issues with Missing labels (to determine if we are making progress)

• Open the spreadsheet PD: Monthly label achievement stats and follow the 'Instructions for making a new sheet' if there isn't one for the current month
  • Go to the github.com/peopledepot/issues tab
    • Write into the spreadsheet,
      • at Cell B1, the number of open issues from the Issues tab
      • at Cell B2, the number of closed issues
  • Go to the Issues tab to see the issues marked with role: missing
    • Write into the spreadsheet,
      • at Cell B6, the number of open issues
      • at Cell C6, the number of closed issues
  • Go to the Issues tab to see the issues marked with size: missing
    • Write into the spreadsheet,
      • at Cell B7, the number of open issues
      • at Cell C7, the number of closed issues
  • Go to the Issues tab to see the issues marked with feature: missing
    • Write into the spreadsheet,
      • at Cell B8, the number of open issues
      • at Cell C8, the number of closed issues
  • Go to the Issues tab to see the issues marked with stakeholder: missing
    • Write into the spreadsheet,
      • at Cell B9, the number of open issues
      • at Cell C9, the number of closed issues
  • Go to the Issues tab to see the issues marked with milestone: missing
    • Write into the spreadsheet,
      • at Cell B10, the number of open issues
      • at Cell C10, the number of closed issues

Publish your results to this issue

• Create a new comment at the bottom of this issue
  • Paste into the comment a title

    ## Issues with Missing labels [YYYY]-[MM]-[DD]
    

    • Customize it to today's date, replacing the '[MM]' and '[DD]' with numbers, adding a zero beforehand if the number is less than 10
  • Copy and paste the top box (Cells A1:B3) into the comment
    • Remove the part before the table info that says

  • Copy and paste the bottom box (Cells A5:H11) into the comment
