Kwartz-like solution for pure HTML?

Has anyone considered pushing the envelop a little more with handlebars so as to pursue the vision encapsulated by Kwartz?

Makoto makes some very valid points in his presentation found here for this case.

This is out of scope for Handlebars, but it would be awesome to see someone do something like this as a third-party library. Thanks for the suggestion!
