Description

Google Kubernetes Engine now has option to enable "GCP Compute Persistent Disk CSI Driver" as an add-on on their Web console. But it seems like Terraform doesn't support it yet, and it'd be better if we can enable this add-on via Terraform.

More on CSI driver: https://kubernetes-csi.github.io/docs/introduction.html

Currently there are 2 ways to enable CSI: on web console, or using gcloud command.

New or Affected Resource(s)

  • google_container_cluster

Potential Terraform Configuration

resource "google_container_cluster" "default" {
  name = "default"
  addons_config {
    compute_persistent_disk_csi {
      disabled = false
    }
  }
}
