Terraform Version

0.11.1

Terraform Configuration Files

resource "aws_instance" "instance" {
  count = 4
}

output "count" {
  value = "${aws_instance.instance.count}"
}

Expected Behavior

terraform validate should succeed. I should be able to access count without having to splat it.

Actual Behavior

terraform validate fails with the following error:

Warning: output "count": must use splat syntax to access aws_instance.instance attribute "count", because it has "count" set; use aws_instance.instance.*.count to obtain a list of the attributes across all instances
