Mint using either $MATIC or $WETH on Polygon

I've seen that some projects on Polygon are allowing minters to pay with either matic or wrapped eth on polygon (wETH or PwETH depending on where it is advertised).

For example:

I've been searching the Internet to find out how this can be implemented and, as always with less common blockchain stuff, I've found only bits and pieces.

This would be more or less like how OpenSea is doing it while allowing users to buy NFT on Polygon with Wrapped ETH.

Has anyone already gone down that route and has any hints?
