Code Camp Events Module: Registration

Registration is at the core of what this module is built for and what makes it such a powerful tool for you. In order for you to use the registration feature, you'll need to create an event. Once you do, you'll have the opportunity to specify whether or not registration is open.

Once you enable registration, then not only can people begin registering for the event, but now people can also volunteer to become speakers, volunteers, vote on sessions, and more.

When you choose to register, you'll have a bare minimum number of fields to fill out. Some of these fields can be removed from within the same view where you create/edit the primary event details.

All fields are required except for Notes. Please note that registering a new attendee also registers the attendee as a new user in DNN. If the visitor is already logged in, the user profile fields will not be editable here. They'll need to manage those through the standard user profile edit views in DNN itself.

Once you enter all desired information, you simply click the Save Registration button to save/update your profile information. Assuming everything went well, you'll very quickly be redirected to the event's homepage. You can tell if it went well if you're now logged in, and whether or not the registration button indicated that clicking it will "update" your registration.
