Since smpl is a direct estimation of 3D coordinates, how do I get 2D joint coordinates from the image

You can use OpenPose or HRNet!

Thanks for your reply, but can OpenPose get a 2D detection of the 24 joints?

I misunderstood your question.
I think there’s no off-the-shelf 2d smpl pose detectors. You may have to train on your own.

oh,thanks! If I get Human3.6M body joints as input, what can I do to get this input.
