After that change, SAM can have authentication using Kerberos or Knox SSO. There is a small fix needed in SAM to allow this. This issue is raised to track that.

Any idea why the management pack for HDF 3.4.0 was update to include this change despite the patch not actually making it into HDF 3.4.0. It's rather confusing when Ambari tries to enable SSO for SAM but then it doesn't work...
We enabled Knox SSO in common-auth in registry project at hortonworks/registry@d1413a7#diff-d3965d90ac90224d809c93526c0dfe96
