In the file 04_Simulated_Instrument_Signal/siminst.ipynb,
we get a scanning schedule from a given time interval before we start the simulation. I have some questions regarding the variables in this schedule file.

  1. What is R/S?
  2. What are Phase / Pass / Sub?
  3. Could there be a way to change the scanning speed by changing some of these variables?

Thanks a lot in advance!

  1. R/S stands from Rising/Setting, something that could easily be deduced from the observing azimuth
  2. Phase is the phase of the Moon, Pass is the running count of observations of the target, Sub is the count of sub-observations for this Pass
  3. Scanning speed is independent of the observing schedule. You set it when simulating the actual observations.

I see. Thanks a lot for your answer!
The phase should be in radians, right?

Hope you have a great day.
