For the mouse control I use a trackball and a QMK-based keyboard with built-in touchpad and mouse keys.
Apparently they are treated as different input devices, keeping current position for each device separately (trackball v. keyboard-controlled mouse.)
When I switch between them the cursor (often but strangely not always) jumps to the position where that particular device left it at, sometimes on the other computer.
It is not a big problem, primarily because I stick to using either trackball or the QMK mouse keys, not switching between them often enough to bother me to much, and it is probably a rare use case anyway.
