The Hutchison Research Group focuses on understanding fundamental properties of pi-conjugated molecules to design new materials. We combine computational exploration, often using evolutionary algorithms and machine learning, with experimental characterization.
Science can be hard, but it should also be fun.
Much of this lab manual was inspired and adapted from Prof. Mariam Aly at Columbia University. It is provided under the Creative Commons Attribution License 4.0.
It should represent a vision of how the group should operate and is intended as a supplement to departmental and Pitt university policies, which take precedence.
