The idea is to have modules for different sets of the scriptures that are under different licenses.

  • The "Libre" module
    • Fully free software (GPLv3), which will allow it to be in the repositories of a greater amount of GNU/Linux distros.
    • Doesn't support bookmarks or annotations and is very incomplete.
    • Basic theme support
  • The "Nephi" Module
    • Public domain, from scriptures.nephi.org
    • Uses HTML4, is ugly, has odd naming schemes, and doesn't support bookmarks or annotations.
  • "LDS.org" Module
    • Non-free, uses scriptures on LDS.org
    • More predictable naming scheme, official scriptures, supports bookmarks and annotations.
    • No theming, online, but will have a method to do a download at one point.

This will cause code breakage, and a large amount of refactoring.
