Craftsmanship (C3) Impact (I5) Behavior (B5)
Delivers business value by adjusting the company’s standard approaches or introducing new ones from the industry Takes responsibility for discovering solutions that affect the vertical and identifying product problems Guides teams within the cluster and influences the entire division

Craftsmanship

  • strategic thinking: employs a range of strategies to gather relevant information across a broad range of sources, validating credibility to create solutions;
  • system thinking: uses different concepts to build an understanding of business scenarios from more than one perspective and evaluates them against a range of engineering, business, and strategic points of view; applies best practices to implement scenarios;
  • promotion: creates services that are used by other teams;
  • design process: takes a lead in the design process, designing more complex solutions autonomously, considering architectural aspects, end user, and non-functional requirements;
  • design adoption: increasingly provides design support to other team members and drives design tools and techniques;
  • software engineering: has comprehensive knowledge and skills to autonomously implement scenarios as well as organises and leads implementation; has experience of failures and lessons learned;
  • delivery process: owns the delivery process by proficiency in building, testing, deploying, and supporting solution components;
  • sustainability and reliability: recognises the key elements of security, risk, and control, and investigates and reports potential risks.

Impact

  • aspiration to extend: ensures engineering investments have a robust and strategic business case, maintaining a focus on new developments;
  • experimental spirit: encourages experimentation, continuous improvement, and innovation. Transforms innovations into business impact and sets the stage for a desired future;
  • ownership: holds full responsibility for the entire solutions lifecycle within their area of responsibility—from conception to after-life;
  • pre-delivery process: acts as a leader in problem research from the technical perspective, generating hypotheses to address issues;
  • strategy execution: crafts the vision and strategy, leading the process of strategy execution and change management;
  • operational excellence: establishes operational policies, eliminates toil, and ensures component availability across the organization.

Behavior

  • collaborative engagement: establishes processes that support the development of individuals, communities, and networks, fostering an organizational culture of continuous learning;
  • talent growth: identifies talent and provides opportunities for showcasing it;
  • influence: develops an environment of engagement and commitment based on credible and comprehensive ideas. Creates compelling visions that motivate teams to action;
  • effective communication: communicates using both logic and emotion to achieve the desired response from others. Delivers complex messages in a clear and concise manner, adjusting the message to fit different audiences.
