As a website editor I would love to create different forms with input fields, dropdowns, submit buttons in a customizable way, so that i can create i.e. an online application form for memberships.

Hi Kai,

you might be looking for something like Liferay's Web-Form Portlet (http://www.liferay.com/de/marketplace/-/mp/application/15195519). A least for simple use cases (collect data and send them via email) this portlet should do the job.

We have installed it on https://dev.flussbad-berlin.de/verein . If it suits your needs, we can deploy it on portal.flussbad-berlin.de, too.

Yes - it's very basic. You're right.

For more sophisticated use cases, we could try to install Orbeon Forms, which is open source and available both in an enterprise and a community edition. See http://www.orbeon.com/ .

I would suggest, that we try to install the portlet on dev.flussbad so that you can check, whether it works and suits your needs.
