Just started a new node and when adding the event through the hornet settings it says:

Failed to add event: invalid parameter, error: invalid event, error: the given participation event started before the pruning index of this node: code=400, message=invalid parameter

You'll need to solve this by booting your node with a snapshot from before the prune index 2041634
Check the hornet discord channel for help if you don't know how.

Possibly one of these snapshots will work https://chrysalis-dbfiles.iota.org/snapshots/hornet?prefix=snapshots/hornet/
I used one provided in the discord.

Got the same issue...
There should be an easy way for node operators to get this done

Same here. I can only run the node without the participation events, otherwise it ends up in crash loops, saying the database is corrupt. I tried it over and over again with no luck.
