Request: Status update in-place

I've seen plenty of Go packages update status in-place, rather nicely. There's a new package that even gives you a fancy terminal dashboard from cli (https://plus.google.com/+WebMediaHouseNet/posts/3SKBzkGi3Wh), so I'd think getting at least a one or two-liner in-place output should be doable.
