I do not use any DB's.

I would really like to be able to show Stations in markers along pipeline Centerlines, and Roads.

If you have a Geopkg-Layer, then please use the QGIS function "points along geometry":

This is the same function like my plugin is using in PostGIS. I just created this plugin for a very special case for just a few people. If you do not have a layer with 10 or more GB, the QGIS function works very well and fast.
