Hello, is there a problem making my bot a public music bot? I have the hardware, and I'd like to use it, make it big and soon verify it.

There are several.

  1. If you encounter any bugs & are unfamiliar with MusicBot's code, you can't fix it and have to wait for jagrosh.
  2. The bot can't shard iirc, so once your bot reaches a certain amount of servers, it won't be able to start anymore.
  3. There is no functionality for IP load balancing against YouTube's rate limits

And possibly more. JMusicBot is not made for being in a large amount of servers

This bot was not designed to be made public, and you would very quickly face the scaling issues that have already been noted. Additionally, the ability to run this on verified bots may be removed in the future, as people should only be verifying bots that they wrote themselves.
