Not all places where an async method is awaited configures the await to not capture the original context (i.e. uses ConfigureAwait(false)). Microsoft recommends doing this for general purpose libraries: https://devblogs.microsoft.com/dotnet/configureawait-faq/#when-should-i-use-configureawait(false)
ConfigureAwait(false)
ConfigureAwait(false) is used in some places, but because it is not used in the entire call tree the original context is captured anyway.
