Using ^x ^o will always show this error, it will autocomplete however.

Using MacOS

vim version
VIM - Vi IMproved 8.2 (2019 Dec 12 kompiliert am Sep 6 2020 02:22:52)
MacOS Version

in the readme it says, you must “set autowrite” in your config for it to work

its a while ago but im wuite sure this line was included in my version of the vim config, but since i dumped vim this is a non issue to me anymore and since nobody else seems to have this problem i will close the issue for the time being

I have the very same issue with set autowrite turned on in vimrc. I do ^x^o and see:

Error detected while processing function vaxe#HaxeComplete[19]..<SNR>67_HandleWriteEvent:
line 16:
E565: Not allowed to change text or change window: :silent update

Vim version:

VIM - Vi IMproved 9.0 (2022 Jun 28, compiled Jun 28 2022 16:22:51)
Compiled by Arch Linux
Huge version with GTK3 GUI.

I'll investigate further and see if anything can be done with it.
