Since introduction of the generic-x86_64 target local cloning seem to fail with a final ERROR: target bootfs missing error at the end similar to that discussion here:

Ich bekomme immer bei verschiedenen NUC´s die untenstehenden Meldungen.
Partitionen wurde mehrfach gelöscht, trotzdem komme ich nicht weiter.
[1/11] Checking source device... /dev/sdb. done.
[2/11] Checking target device... /dev/sda. done.
[3/11] Unmounting filesystems from target device... done.
[4/11] Cloning boot sector... done.
[5/11] Cloning partition table (bootfs, rootfs)... ERROR: target bootfs missing
