Cannot use on CentOS 6 - Module mdadm is not supported on CentOS

Trying to use on CentOS 6 but running a manifest results in failure to recognize centOS as compatible.

err: Could not retrieve catalog from remote server: Error 400 on SERVER: Module mdadm is not supported on CentOS at /etc/puppet/modules/mdadm/manifests/params.pp:47 on node _.__._*

The puppet node server is running mdadm and has several volumes to be managed. The module mdadm was installed using the puppet command to download and install the module.
