Katex gem is slower than piping to katex CLI tool #5

I did some naive benchmarking which might be of interest to you: asciidoctor/asciidoctor#3338 (comment)

In that I found that for some reason simply piping math into katex seemed to run considerably faster than using this extension.

Let me know if you find something wrong with my benchmark! Cheers.

This is most likely caused by execjs used by katex-ruby.
