Alternative syntax for macro to make text expansion easier

I would like to have separate layer for expanded text. The text expansion tools we have like TextExpander, Espanso, etc. don't work in a few terminal emulators.

Kanata's macro doesn't have that issue, and the alternative syntax for already existing kanata feature would replace the need for those apps altogether. But at the moment it is too much fuss to use macro for more than a few symbols.

So could you implement optional alternative syntax without spaces? For example:
