I'd like to set my guide button to shift modes from browser mode to xinput mode and when I press again it move to the next mode or circle back if no more modes, is there a way to do this already or is it something that would have to be implemented as a new feature?

You can assign switching between sets by selecting the Guide button in the main window, clicking on "Advanced", then Assignment → insert "Set Change" or replace the key map you've added before. The dropdown on the Set Selector tab also works. (See the first two screenshots in this comment.)
