If there is an unknown language configured in the config file, the GUI has the message "Dictionary not loaded" which is correct. But then the language selector cannot be opened. If you change the language after a dictionary was successfully loaded the selector is opened correctly.

To reproduce:

  • change the language in the Advanced Settings to something stupid
  • reload the jupyterlab in the browser
