Launch Application

Hello, I am new with Kando and have some questions about launching apps:

• Is there any possibility to add apps via drag&drop or something else, so I do not have to insert all the pathes?
• How to us app icons for entry in Kando?

• There is a corresponding feature request: An application-chooser for the Launch-App item #484. For now, you have to insert the path manually.
• You can add your own icon themes in order to add icons for the apps you are using.

Hi, it's a lot of work to first extract all the program icons and save them in a separate folder. The program's own icon is very useful for keeping track of the many apps and finding your way around quickly.
I guess I'll have to switch from 8Start after all and I'm very happy to have found your Kando. Unfortunately, this is a drawback, but I'll keep at it! Thanks for your work.

Yeah, maybe we can have this in the future. However, this is not as straight-forward as you may think. On Windows, some applications have icons embedded into the executable but often you do not launch the executable but some batch script which will launch the exe. On macOS and Linux, icons are not embedded into the executable at all. Especially on Linux, associating an icon to an application is a complex task as most desktop environments support icon themes which provide the icons.
