Description

Add support for a data mapping feature. Details TBD, but this will likely be an epic that needs to be broken down into smaller tasks.

Tasks

  • Define user requirements
  • Define technical requirements and considerations (i.e. XSLT vs JSLT)
  • Define boundaries for PoC, definition of "Done" for PoC
  • Basic, lo-fidelity wireframes for PoC
  • Work with UXD for user journey and designs
  • Map out requirements for frontend (will it be an extension or core part of Kaoto UI?)

Feature Tasks

  • Supports basic transformation step
  • Support message headers & exchange properties
  • Support field transformation
  • Support data mapping step with external file
  • Support data preview
  • Support extracting schema from REST OpenAPI
  • Continue supporting extracting schema from other DataShape aware components
  • Continue supporting more Data Mapping use cases
