$ git init

$ ls -la //for seeing hidden folders,if any

$ git add file_name //add the current changes of file file_name to staging

$ git add . //add the whole directory chnages to staging(no delete files)

$ git add -A //add all new, modified and deleted files to staging

$ git commit -m "Describe the changes in your first commit"

$ git commit -am "message" //add all changes to staging and commit them with message

$ git push origin master
