En | Tips | Context menu
Right clicking your mouse on the web page will now give you some KeeFox features to help you fill in forms and generate passwords. This can be useful if you can't get to the main KeeFox button for some reason or just don't want to move your mouse quite as far!
The features offered will depend on what part of the page you right click on and the current KeePass status (logged in, logged out or not running).
For example, you can ask KeePass to generate a new password for you from the context menu anywhere on the page, or ask KeeFox to rescan the forms on the page by using the context menu within a form element (such as a text box).
You can ask KeeFox to fill the form on the page from the page context menu but note that you can't do so from the menu you get when right-clicking on the form itself. There is currently no way to force KeeFox to fill in a particular form so offering to fill a particular login via a context menu from a form could create confusion if KeeFox were to fill in a different form than the one you right-clicked on.
We hope to add more features to the context menu in future.
The information in this Wiki is out of date.
It is only of interest if you are using the old add-on called KeeFox in a very old (insecure) version of Firefox or other browsers based on the old Firefox XUL technology.
Read the manual for Kee and KeeBird instead.
