This is useful when keepassxc is minimized/hidden to the tray, and all
the plumbing is already in place from the lock icon button in the main
window UI.

Type of change

  • ✅ New feature (non-breaking change which adds functionality)

Description and Context

Add a shortcut to lock all databases to the tray icon's menu without having to
open the full GUI. This feature was shockingly trivial to add, thanks to the magic
of Qt.

(ignore the weird transparency, it doesn't look like that for real, only when taking a screenshot on my system)

Testing strategy

  • All functionality is pulled in through the Lock Databases menu bar button that's already in MainWindow
  • I tested on Linux (Arch with Gnome 3.32 and the "Kstatusnotifieritem/appindicator support" Gnome shell extension)
  • Databases can be locked whether the main window is open or closed (hidden to tray)
  • Menu option is greyed out when databases are already locked

Update: I was able to test this on a Windows 10 build today, looks like it works there too. I don't have a Mac to test on
