If I use a "http(s)://url" source, the frame loads and displays mp4 files alright. But if I have mp4 files in a local directory or iCloud album, they are filtered out.

Is it possible to have an option to view mp4 files from a local folder or from an icloud album?

Can you try the fileFilter branch, and set the file filter with the appropriate regex to match the extensions you want to allow in the config?
