Looks like there is a pending PR but it was closed
#2541

We have a use case where I need to be able to move subdomains around and only have some of them be altered by external-dns, and all records are on a single zone. This would help keep us from manually creating certain records as it would be too dangerous to allow external-dns in this case to control the entire parent zone.

We also really need the MatchParent ability for the AWS provider. Could you consider reopening #2541 or let me know if you want me to create a new PR instead?
Thank you.

Is there a way to get this more visibility or others ( or myself ) should resubmit the PR request ? unsure if there are objections or concerns that would get it denied.

Resubmitting the PR is probably a good idea!
