Explain more about troubleshooting CoreDNS #47012

/retitle Explain more about troubleshooting CoreDNS |
I would put the advice into https://kubernetes.io/docs/tasks/debug/debug-cluster/ but also change https://kubernetes.io/docs/tasks/administer-cluster/coredns/ so that it hyperlinks to the new advice. |
Whether this is formally accepted or not, folks are welcome to work on it (either to help with triage, or on a pull request). |
This would be a good addition to the doc. /priority backlog |
I can work on this issue . By mistake I have created the issue by my other github id.Please assign |
Can you elaborate on this . Do you want me to make changes in both? |

This is a Feature Request
What would you like to be added
Coredns runs as a deployment in kubernetes cluster. One can't get the coredns pods logs with information about the DNS queries . It is disabled by default.
Why is this needed
Many are not aware on how to enable logs , which can be done by editing the configmap of coredns and adding log field there. This can be included as an information under Using CoreDNS for Service Discovery
