The current architecture will not support this, but once #1345 is complete, this may be easier to deal with.

For each format determine the following:

  • How to generate this format
  • How to parse maps in this format into tiles
  • How common is the format

Formats to research / create new issues for:

  • MapsForge
  • Geopackage
  • OSM
  • MOBAC
  • Global Mapper
  • Garmin IMG
  • rtmap
