When we apply some style in contenteditable popup menu opens automatically. How can we prevent or open only when there is a keyboard event?

Regarding the issue with a moving cursor: can you share your code?

Regarding the second issue with menu opening when it shouldn't: this library is just a wrapper that doesn't open/close the menu by itself. I think you should search for a solution in the original library that is used underneath.
