Feature request

Feature request to integrate CoinGecko's API into Langchain, enabling users to:

• Fetch real-time cryptocurrency prices and data from CoinGecko.
• Track trends and analytics of specific tokens or markets.
• Leverage this data in applications like financial analytics dashboards.

Motivation

Cryptocurrency and blockchain technology are becoming more mainstream, and there is a growing demand for real-time market data in various financial applications. CoinGecko is a popular platform for tracking thousands of cryptocurrencies, providing comprehensive information on market trends, exchanges, and token metrics.

Integrating CoinGecko with Langchain would enable developers to easily retrieve and utilize this data within their chain-based applications. This could help users analyze market trends, automate financial decisions based on live data, and build smarter DeFi tools, all within the Langchain ecosystem.

This integration will also serve developers who want to explore use cases beyond traditional applications, such as building smart contracts that react to real-time price movements or creating custom financial alerts.

Proposal (If applicable)

We are a team of four students from the University of Toronto, excited about contributing to the open-source community. Our goal is to develop and submit a pull request for this feature by mid-November. This integration will enhance Langchain by providing access to real-time cryptocurrency data through CoinGecko.

Indeed there's a lot can be done with both the CG demo and pro api, given that CoinGecko API now supports onchain data with wide coverage of 100+ network, 4M tokens and more. Happy to bounce ideas and support you all.
