How does cache affect the ChatOpenAI chat?

In the docs for ChatOpenAI it says the constructor can take an optional cache value. There's no mention of what this does to how the resulting object behaves, though. What is the effect of setting cache: true when "chatting" with OpenAI?

I tried using cache:true seems to end chain right away and respond to input without calling llm but it does break my streaming to client. JS docs def need improving. I need to figure out how to pass the immediate cache response back to client
