SQLx v0.6 and beyond - pricing

Hi, in #909 you mention that MSSQL support will be behind a commercial license. Do you have any idea on pricing?

hi there - I still can't get an answer despite a JIRA issue, a Discussion, contacting the author on twitter and asking on Rust user forums.

Can you please let me know, even if the answer is "don't know". This isn't a good look for a commercial project.

Well, this isn't a commercial project yet. It's still just something we work on when we have time to spare and we've been pretty busy lately.

We don't have pricing figured out yet, I think we wanted to spend some time looking into what similar solutions are going for in other languages and maybe try to get community feedback.

Turning the question back around, what kind of pricepoint do you think would be fair?

As far as I know, the only other reasonable similar project is https://github.com/prisma/tiberius, which is excellent and what I'm currently using. I know they were interested at folding into sql.x so maybe that is a route to speed things up. Typed MSSQL on Rust has to be a USP?

As for money, well, I honestly don't know except that's always tricky, and it's a bit chicken and egg, and I'm playing chicken ;-).

I came across this discussion again today, and I feel bad for my snarky "This isn't a good look for a commercial project". My bad, and I really appreciate your efforts on this.
