When connecting a Stripe account to Liberapay, Stripe displays the following text to the user:

Liberapay will be able to see your account data (such as all payment and payout history), including any data created by other platforms you've connected. They'll also be able to create new payments and take other actions for you.

Unfortunately it doesn't look like we can request fewer permissions (there are only two levels, and the “read only” level doesn't allow us to process donations).

OAuth changes for Standard Platforms

We are making changes to OAuth to isolate Platforms’ processing activity on Standard accounts. Over the course of June and July 2021, we will update OAuth such that only a single platform will be able to connect to a Standard account. Previously, multiple platforms could connect to the same account.
