I'm thinking in particular of non-profit organizations like Liberapay.

Also teams, since the income shares are always public anyone should be able to see the full history. We need to actually implement team history first though. :D

On the other hand individuals probably shouldn't be encouraged to publish the details of their donations.

Thinking about this again, it would probably be better to have separate exposure settings for incoming and outgoing payments. We could rename the existing hiving_giving and hide_receiving columns and turn them into integers.
