Inline payment: Alias cannot be empty

Hi,

Whenever we use the "Inline payment for cards" option on the payment page configuration, the payment is not working and we get bounced back to the cart with the following error message "Alias cannot be empty" after validating the payment on the last checkout step.

Magento version is 2.4.3-p2, we use the "Credit Cards" payment method.
