Plural naming system doesn't work for atypical plurals

For example I made a model called formulae, and the generator thought it was singular so made the plural table formulaes.

And if I tried to me a relation to it by saying formula:references, it failed, expecting me to say formulae.

I can't find the code on how the plural naming works in the generator. So can someone point me in the right direction?
