Dear ones, I want to thank God for the opportunity to be part of this community. For me, this is an honor.

My name is Anderson and my home is in the city of Mambore in the state of Paraná, Brazil. I live in a country town with 13 thousand inhabitants.

I currently have a collection of just over 500 domains that I need to put some into production. For that I'm looking for a starter application where I can only concern myself with the development of business rules. In this way I will be able to carry out my projects and my studies.

Days ago, in a Codeigniter community in Brazil, I tried to get some developers together to work on the development of a tool similar to Bonfire. Nobody was interested in the proposal and a few days later Lonnie opened this repository. God was very good to me.

I'm a huge fan of Lonnie's work and admire his knowledge of him. I hope to bring contributions to the project within my capabilities. I've been looking forward to each commit

This project will change my life and my family. I am grateful for that!

I am very happy to be able to contribute for the first time to an opensource project.

My name is Antonio, I was born in Schorndorf in Germany, but my home is near Naples, Italy, even though my origins are on the island of Sardinia where I lived the first 30 years of my life (now I'm 45) .

I studied to be a surveyor, but in the end my passion for computer science is taking me on another path.

I worked for years as a teacher for a partner company of Autodesk, a large company that develops and distributes software for construction, mechanics and other design software ...

I currently work for a small IT company where I manage the infrastructure.

As for the world of information technology, I am totally self-taught: I am very curious and I always like to learn new things.

With the release of CodeIgniter 4, I have activated a repository to provide a development environment without you having to install PHP, a web server, and any other server software on your local machine. I have been following Lonnie since he started developing CodeIgniter 4 and, on it, I have based a webGis application that works, but I am not satisfied with my code: I still have a lot to learn!

Lonnie is an inspiration to me and I am very happy to learn by reading his books (can't wait to see the next one ...) and his code.

I am sure I can learn a lot by participating in this project.

I also hope, in the time I have available, to be able to make a significant contribution.

First off -thanks so much for the kind words! Amazingly enough - my first career was in the Civil Engineering field in the US. I had a drafting certificate that I had earned during high school. Looking for a job after I found a listing for a Surveying company that needed draftsmen. I got the job and they said "bring a change of outdoor clothes, just in case". It was 3 years before I ever did any drafting lol. Instead I got to learn surveying. It wasn't the best company in the world, but they did a really good job of educating us on the math and the laws so we could make decisions in the field and be right about it most of the time.

I think I surveyed for them and another company for a total of 5 years before finally making my way inside full time. Did a fair amount of hand-drawing of lot surveys during those days. Once I got inside, though, I got to start using AutoCAD. Spent the next 12 years designing sewers, road systems, storm systems, subdivisions and helping with the occasional major intersection. By the end I'd started doing some more 3d rendering stuff.

I got my first computer in high school waaaay back in the day - and Apple IIe. I loved exploring the programs that were available, and making little changes here and there and taught myself to program in BASIC. Throughout the years I kept tinkering with different languages as a hobby - C/C++, Perl, and of course, PHP. I had started doing websites after hours with a guy I'd met the last year or so. Turns out it was a good thing since I got laid of right after Christmas break from the engineering company. I took that as a sign and dove into freelance web as fast as I could and have never looked back.
