Custom fold character

Hi,

I just want to have a custom fold character when the fold is closed and no character otherwise (I dont use vim.opt.foldcolumn = "1" as I don't want fold characters to show when opened, just when closed). I have achieved something with this segment but I would like the foldclose character to take precedence overt the gitsign (so show only the foldclose character instead of the gitsign).

This is the segment:
