Help with blockTypeLimits

Hello, I need help with small use case.
I need to limit number of blocks and I found "blockTypeLimits" option. It works fine, but users are confused the way how it works - it just prevent new block creation. There isn't any UI difference for block button or any messages. I try to find a solution how to make it more user friendly. Do you have any ideas? I expected that you add any class for for disabled buttons, but didn't see any difference between buttons in menu. Also I can't find any events to use custom handler. Can you help me?

This is something that's slipped out of the 0.6 release. As we haven't really decided how to manage this yet.
