Basic info

Application name: Quokka CMS
Application repo link: https://github.com/rochacbruno/quokka
Application home link: http://quokkaproject.org/
Application description: A lightweight framework to build CMS (Content Management System) as websites, portals, blogs, applications and anything related to publishing content to the web.

Qualifications

There are a ton of great Python projects out there, but what makes an
application "Awesome™"? Please check that all of the following criteria apply:

  • Free software with an online source repository.
  • Using Python for a considerable part of their functionality.
  • Well-known, or at least prominently used in an identifiable niche.
  • Maintained or otherwise demonstrably still functional on relevant platforms.
  • An application, not a library or framework.

Hello @adrianoramos! Thanks for the submission. I see a couple of unchecked boxes here, and in particular I'm concerned about the project being an application. From what I'm reading/seeing, it seems like Quokka is closer to a framework. The main difference between an application and framework is that an application is installed from a prepackaged state and configured, as opposed to requiring additional coding. If I'm misreading and Quokka is an application, please let me know with a link or two!

(PS You may have noticed a couple projects already on the list are a bit framework-y. Those date back to before I had a good handle on the APA criteria and the nature of those projects. I'm reassessing as we speak, and those projects will be cleaned up in the near future.)

Sorry @mahmoud. I checked some boxes wrong. Quokka is more closer to be an application that I did think.
