The behavior should be changed in case when more notes (keys) are played and maxed out the polyphony.

-> other notes should turn off in that case


In addition to that a mono mode could be also nice

My midi controller is doing that kind of maxnote queue and turns them off because its generating arpeggio's. If it hits too many notes it turns off one and uses that slot in queue to hold another.
Yes, a mono mode that leads to things like lead and sliding the frequency from the last key that wasn't off to the next note on. That is something that has to be handled at the synthesizer side I guess.
