can help adding a toolchain support for MinGW64/MSYS2 [1], that is a very common solution to natively generate Windows 64bit binaries of opensource projects. So maybe many developers can try and self-build the sources using all free software.

maybe the alredy supplied autotools files (autogen.sh/configure.ac/Makefile.am) works as so, or maybe need to add support for MinGW64. In the second case I'm sure upstream can accept a patch, see #32
