Astra DB is a serverless database-as-a-service and document-style data API for both vector and structured data. This GitHub Copilot extension enables a developer to use natural language chat to create queries and code.

Prerequisites and Set-up

• User has created a DataStax Astra account
• User is part of an organization that has a Copilot license

Installation, Sign-in & Auth

Installation only needs to happen once (likely the Admin), however Authorization needs to happen for each user.

1. Ensure you are signed in to Github with the account you want to link.
2. Click the Install button.
3. Go through the Authorization flow, sign in to Astra, select your Astra org and acknowledge the permissions
4. Once authorized, go to the Copilot chat window and @datastax in the chat interface and you should be ready to chat with us!
